Vikings Sign Star CFL Receiver

The Vikings have signed CFL wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux to a three-year deal. The deal is reportedly worth $1.8 million and includes a $75,000 signing bonus. Arceneaux was offered a six-figure contract to return to the B.C. Lions. He worked out for eight teams over the last two weeks and the decision came down to the Dolphins, Vikings, Seahawks and Bears.

Mike Williams Signs Three-Year Deal With Seahawks

Mike Williams has signed a three-year contract extension to remain with the NFC West Champion Seahawks. "I'm happy to be a part of the beginning. I can't really put into words," Williams said. "I'm very blessed." Williams, who spent the previous two years out of the NFL, finished the regular season with a career-best 65 catches for 751 yards and two touchdowns.

Vikings Sign Juaquin Iglesias

Former Bears third-round draft choice Juaquin Iglesias has been signed to the Vikings 53-man roster. Iglesias, the 99th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft, spent the entire 2010 season on Chicago's practice squad, after being cut by the team on Sept. 4. The receiver was inactive for all but one game during his rookie campaign.

Bills Re-Sign Merriman To Two-Year Deal

The Bills have re-signed linebacker Shawne Merriman to a two-year deal. Buffalo general manager Buddy Nix confirmed the deal on Saturday. Merriman has been riddled by injuries and did not play a down for the Bills after he was claimed off waivers at midseason. "We know the situation, we researched it, we did all our homework with Shawne," Nix said. "Everything you do is a little bit of a gamble. There's reward and upside to it and I think both sides are happy with the way the contract is structured."
