Jags Add Safety Prioleau To Secondary
The Jaguars have added veteran safety Pierson Prioleau to their secondary, according to the Associated Press.
In order to make room for the safety on Wednesday the team also waived quarterback Lester Richard.
Prioleau is entering his tenth NFL season.
Texans, G Weary Agree On Deal
The Texans have signed guard Fred Weary to a one-year contract, according to the Houston Chronicle.
He started twelve games for the team on the right-side of the line last season before suffering an injury at the beginning of December.
The deal will pay him $800,000 in base salary.
Chargers Agree To Terms With Veteran OT Shelton
The Chargers made a move to bolster their offensive line Tuesday as they agreed to terms with tackle L.J. Shelton on a two-year deal.
?We had the opportunity to add an experienced, good player to the mix at offensive tackle,? General Manager A.J. Smith said. ?L.J. has played both left and right tackle during his career. We were thin at the position and we were determined to find a talented player. We believe we?ve addressed the need with L.J. Shelton.?
Shelton, 6-6, 345, who enters his 10th NFL season in 2008, brings a wealth of experience and versatility to San Diego. He?s played in 130 games and started 125 during his career. In 2007 with the Miami Dolphins, he started all 16 games at right tackle. A year earlier, he started five games at left tackle before moving inside to right guard for the final 11 games.
Panthers Add Depth With DT Walker
The Carolina Panthers added some depth on Monday by signing free agent defensive tackle Darwin Walker, according to the Associated Press.
The two parties agreed to terms on a one-year deal after Walker was let go by the Bears in February.
"He had an injury-riddled year last year with Chicago, which he was very disappointed in because it cost him millions of dollars not having his option picked up," his agent Al Irby said. "Darwin didn't want to go out like that. So he's been down in Miami, working very, very hard. He's bound and determined to redeem himself after last year."
Titans, Roos Agree On 6-Year, $43M Deal
The Titans and left tackle Michael Roos have agreed to terms on a six-year, $43 million contract extension, according to the Tennessean.
Roos will become the NFL's third-highest-paid tackle with the deal.
"He is a low-key guy, and it takes an awful lot to get him excited, but he is smiling," his agent Cameron Foster said. "The beauty of this is I didn't have to twist any arms to make the Titans realize his value. They were pretty much fair out of the blocks, and this contract makes Michael the third-highest-paid tackle, behind Orlando Pace (Rams) and Walter Jones (Seahawks)."
Bears, Receiver Davis Agree On New Deal
The Chicago Bears and wide receiver Rashied Davis agreed to terms on a new three-year deal on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
He was signed out of the AFL in 2005 and has returned punts and kicks as a member of the Bears, as well.
Argonaunts Sign David Boston To CFL Contract
The Argonauts shored up their receiving corps Monday by signing former Pro Bowl player David Boston, as reported by the Canadian Press.
Boston was selected in the first round, eighth overall, by the Cardinals in the 1999 NFL draft. He also spent time with the Chargers and Dolphins before attending training camp with the Buccaneers in 2006 and reaching an injury settlement with the club.

The Steelers signed offensive tackle Max Starks to a one-year tender worth $6.895 million on Saturday, according to the Observer-Reporter.
The deal makes him the second highest-paid player on the team, behind only quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
He was Pittsburgh's number-three tackle last season, after starting in both 2005 and 2006.
