Kenny Pickett's Hand Size Up At Pittsburgh Pro Day

Mar 22, 2022 9:59 AM

Kenny Pickett's much-discussed hand size increased by 1/8 inch from his official NFL scouting combine measurement (8 5/8 inches) at Pittsburgh's pro day.

"The stretches work," Pickett said with a laugh. "It's the reason why I've been doing them. If it helped getting an eighth of an inch, I'll take it."

Even with the slightly bigger measurement, Pickett's hand would still be the smallest of any starter or notable NFL backup. Taysom Hill's measurement is the next-smallest, recorded as 8 3/4 inches.

Kenny Pickett's Hands Measure Smaller Than Any Current NFL QB

Mar 4, 2022 8:41 AM

Kenny Pickett's right hand was measured at 8 1/2 inches in Indianapolis, which would be the smallest of any quarterback currently in the NFL.

Taysom Hill, whose hands were measured at 8 3/4 inches leading up to the 2017 draft, has the smallest hands of any current quarterback.

Pickett, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award in 2021, is seen as a potential first-round pick entering the combine.

Titans Eye Ryan Tannehill's Eventual Successor In Draft

Mar 3, 2022 8:32 AM

The Tennessee Titans are committed to Ryan Tannehill in 2022 but they are also preparing for life with a different quarterback.

Tennessee has already met with Nevada quarterback Carson Strong and North Carolina's Sam Howell at the combine.

"There's some in certain drafts that are way out of our reach because they're going to go in the top three or four picks and we pick in the back part of the first round," Jon Robinson said.

"We are trying to find those guys that may be within striking distance that may not come in and unseat, but that we see a future for."
