Mel Kiper Jr. Has Justin Fields Slipping To No. 7 In 2021 Mock Draft

Mel Kiper Jr. has Justin Fields dropping to No. 7 in his latest mock draft slotting in DeVonta Smith to the New York Jets at No. 2 behind Trevor Lawrence to the Jacksonville Jaguars. 

Kiper has another wide receiver going third in Ja'Marr Chase of LSU to the Miami Dolphins.

Justin Fields is leaving Ohio State to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Fields played his freshman season at Georgia before transferring to Ohio State in January 2019.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranks Fields as the No. 3 overall prospect for the 2021 draft, behind Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell.

DeVonta Smith Leads Alabama To Another National Championship

Alabama beat Ohio State 52-24 on Monday night to take home yet another College Football Playoff National Championship.

The Crimson Tide were led by Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, who had 12 catches for 215 yards and three scores in the first half. Smith hurt his hand in the third quarter and sat out the remainder of the game.

Jets Secure 23rd Pick With Seattle's Loss

With the Seattle Seahawks losing to the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday afternoon, the New York Jets have secured the 23rd overall pick.

The Jets will receive the pick as a result of the Jamal Adams trade before the season.

New York will also pick second overall.

Trevor Lawrence Declares For 2021 NFL Draft

Trevor Lawrence has announced he will leave Clemson and declare for the 2021 NFL draft.

"My time here has been amazing, and I'll be a Clemson Tiger forever," Lawrence said in the video.

Lawrence is all but assured of becoming the top overall pick in the draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dabo Swinney called Lawrence, "the greatest winner I've been around," and praised his QB for his work off the field, too.
