Teddy Bridgewater Takes Out $10M Insurance Policy

Teddy Bridgewater has taken out a $10 million insurance policy to protect himself against a career-ending injury.

Bridgewater, entering his junior season at Louisville, is widely considered the top quarterback prospect in the country.

Bridgewater threw for 3,718 yards, 27 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.

Richt: Jadeveon Clowney Might Be Best Football Player Alive

Jadeveon Clowney will begin his junior season at South Carolina this year and is projected as a top-3 selection at defensive end in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Georgia's Mark Richt spoke excessively glowingly about Clowney.

"Seriously, I think he might be the very best player who exists today at any level," said Richt.

Lane Johnson Agrees To $19.853M Deal With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Lane Johnson to a four-year, $19.853 million contract.

Johnson was the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Johnson will be paid a $12.818 million signing bonus up front.

Matt Elam Agrees To Rookie Contract With Ravens

Matt Elam and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed upon contract terms.

Elam was the 32nd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and will be asked to replace Ed Reed at safety.

Elam was a First-team All-American last season at Florida.

Six Players Available In Supplemental Draft

There are six players eligible for the NFL's Supplemental Draft to be held on Thursday.

Joining wide receivers DeWayne Peace of Houston and O.J. Ross of Purdue are DE James Boyd and DT Nate Holloway of UNLV, DE Toby Jackson of Central Florida and DB Damond Smith of South Alabama.

Peace caught 54 passes for 603 yards and two scores in 2012.

A total of 43 players have been selected in the supplemental draft since its inception in 1977, most notably Bernie Kosar, Cris Carter and Brian Bosworth.
