Robert Griffin III didn't throw a pass at the NFL Combine, but he impressed scouts and analysts nonetheless.
"I think I was able to go out there and affirm to the scouts how athletic I am, or impress them even more," Griffin said. "I was able to show people that I am as advertised. I'm a good guy, I like to make people laugh. I can't remember a meeting I didn't go in and we weren't laughing.
"You go there and do what you're supposed to do, create a buzz for yourself," he added.

Griffin III Was 'Inching' Towards Throwing
Like Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III decided not to throw at the NFL combine in favor of waiting for the familiarity of his Pro Day next month.
With that said, Griffin admitted it was hard to sit on the sidelines.
"I really did, and I kept inching forward. The Cleveland coaches were telling me they could see it in me -- they saw I wanted to be out there throwing," Griffin said. "I tried to come out and show that I am a competitor with the running and the jumping and doing those things. ... I'm excited to throw, but I have to let that be another day. ...
"You want to show them that you're as advertised -- that's the main reason I came and ran," he added. "I didn't have to run, but I decided to run and jump and do those things so they know I'm either as athletic as they thought I was or even more."

The NFL is mulling over some significant changes to the annual Scouting Combine, according to a New York Times report.
One of the possibilities would be to have prospects compete against one another in the 40-yard dash and the bench-press.

"It's a balancing act. The combine works."
