The Los Angeles Rams have released Todd Gurley.

Gurley was owed an additional $10.5 million on Thursday with his roster bonus.

The Rams had attempted to trade Gurley over the past several weeks.

The Rams signed Gurley to a four-year, $57.5 million contract extension in 2018, but his production dropped dramatically since the middle of the 2018 season. During the 2019 season, Gurley ran 223 times for 857 yards with 12 touchdowns. In 2017, Gurley had 2,093 yards from scrimmage and 19 total touchdowns. Gurley had 1,831 yards from scrimmage and 21 total touchdowns in 2018.
