Julian Edelman underwent a precautionary standard knee procedure and will miss the New England Patriots' Week 8 game on Sunday.
Edelman has been limited all season because of his knee. Edelman leads the team with 21 receptions for 315 yards.

Sunday's contest will be the fifth consecutive game that Thomas has missed after he suffered the high ankle sprain and was benched for team disciplinary reasons in Week 5.
The New Orleans Saints will be without Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders for Week 7.

Zach Ertz is expected to miss three to four weeks with an ankle injury.
