Saquon Barkley Won't Accept Sitting Out Remainder Of 2019

Nov 12, 2019 3:58 PM

Saquon Barkley isn't 100 percent and the New York Giants have a 2-8 record, but he still won't accept getting shut down for the season.

Barkley underwent an X-ray on shoulder after Sunday's loss to the New York Jets.

Barkley missed three games last month due to a high ankle sprain. Since returning to action, Barkley is averaging just 2.6 yards per carry after averaging 6.4 per carry initially this season.

"The mindset of sitting me out and resting me for the rest of the season is beyond me," Barkley said. "I do not agree with it. It won't happen. I'm going to keep going until I can't go no more. That's the player I am and I'm going to do it for my teammates."

Antonio Brown Not Expected To Play Again In 2019

Nov 10, 2019 12:26 PM

Antonio Davis is not expected to play again in 2019.

Brown has been pushing for his return to the NFL and is scheduled to meet with the league on Thursday to address the multiple sexual assault allegations against him.

Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN that he is "confident Antonio will play again this season."

"I believe the NFL should clear him after they interview him this week, and I expect he will be signed shortly after that," Rosenhaus told ESPN.

Three NFL teams have been in contact with Brown and would like to sign him.

Patrick Mahomes Officially Named Chiefs' Starter For Week 10

Nov 8, 2019 3:48 PM

Patrick Mahomes will return to the Kansas City Chiefs for Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

"I'm in a good spot,'' Mahomes said after the Chiefs concluded their practice week on Friday. "I'm ready to get out there.''

Mahomes dislocated his right kneecap in an Oct. 17 game against the Denver Broncos.

"I knew I had a chance once I talked to those doctors and they said as long as I was functioning well, moving well, I could play this week,'' Mahomes said. "Coach [Andy] Reid still wanted me to take it day by day. I went out here in practice and took the reps and I haven't had any pain or any setbacks and so as long as we keep going with that I'm glad to be back out there.''

A.J. Green Suffers Setback In Recovery, Out Indefinitely

Nov 7, 2019 3:05 PM

A.J. Green will be out indefinitely as he suffered a setback in his recovery from a left ankle injury.

Green experienced swelling following Monday's off-week practice.

"For me, just gotta make sure I feel comfortable going out there and pushing it," Green said Thursday. "For me, just gotta make sure I gotta take care of me first before anything else."

Green has not played since he tore multiple ligaments in his left ankle during the Bengals' first practice of the preseason.

The Bengals have yet to win a game this season.
