Patrick Mahomes has an outside chance to play on Nov. 3 against the Minnesota Vikings and a realistic shot to play on Nov. 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

The original goal was for Mahomes to back by Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Mahomes practiced on a limited basis this week.

Mahomes suffered a dislocated kneecap, but suffered no tears. Mahomes is double-joined and his knee has built-in protection against injury.

Josh Gordon will be released by the New England Patriots.

Gordon was placed on injured reserve by the Patriots, but he expects to be ready in one to two weeks.

Gordon had been playing through a left knee injury. Gordon has totaled 20 catches for 287 yards and one touchdown.

Matt Ryan has been ruled out for the Atlanta Falcons' Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Matt Schaub will start in place of Ryan at quarterback.

Mahomes suffered a dislocated kneecap during the Chiefs' Week 7 win at the Denver Broncos.

The Chiefs have been encouraged by the diagnosis on Mahomes.

Kansas City hosts the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. 

Drew Brees is planning on returning to action in the New Orleans Saints' Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

"That's the plan," said Brees. "We'll see."

Brees had thumb surgery five weeks ago on this throwing hand.

Brees said the decision will come down to "just making sure I can be me."

The New England Patriots have placed Josh Gordon on injured reserve due to his knee injury.

Gordon's 2019 season end with 20 catches for 287 yards and one touchdown.

The Patriots acquired Mohamed Sanu earlier this week to improve their depth at wide receiver.

Alvin Kamara has been ruled out of the New Orleans Saints' Week 7 game at the Chicago Bears with knee and ankle injuries.

Kamara has rushed 86 times this season for 373 yards and one touchdown to go with 33 receptions for 276 yards receiving and another touchdown.

Patrick Mahomes received a "best-case scenario" diagnosis after dislocating his right kneecap.

The MRI Mahomes underwent showed no damage beyond the dislocation.

The Kansas City Chiefs are working through second opinions. 

Mahomes suffered the injury during a quarterback sneak on fourth down. As medical staff attended to him on the field, it appeared Mahomes' knee was straightened and popped back into place.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reports Mahomes could be back by Week 11, which is in one month.

Patrick Mahomes suffered what appeared to be a serious right knee injury during the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 7 game at the Denver Broncos. Mahomes was able to walk off the field on his own power.

Dr. Mark Adickes believed it was a patella (knee cap) dislocation. The treatment could be for Mahomes to sit out for a weeks, but he could also have season-ending surgery with an MRI determining the course of action.

The early reports indicate Mahomes does not have a fracture.

Mahomes won the NFL MVP in 2018.

Antonio Brown appears willing to return to the New England Patriots.

Brown expects to collect his money from the Patriots and he believes they may as well let him play because of that.

“The Patriots have to pay me,” Brown said in an Instagram live video. “They may as well play me.”

Tom Brady reportedly wanted the Patriots to keep Brown.
