An MRI has confirmed Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 3 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs.

Garoppolo will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. Garoppolo will undergo surgery in the near future.

Garoppolo signed a five-year, $137.5 million contract extension in the offseason.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now listening to trade offers for Le'Veon Bell.

Bell is currently holding out and is expected to leave the Steelers this offseason either way.

Aaron Rodgers is concerned his injured left knee will get worse as the season progresses.

"Yeah, obviously that's a concern," Rodgers said Wednesday. "Hopefully it goes the other way though."

Rodgers suffered the injury in Week 1 and wore a large brace in Week 2.

Rodgers admitted that his knee "obviously it won't be 100 percent, so I'll just adjust accordingly to how I'm feeling and try to get through."

"It just depends on how the week goes with the rehab and the recovery," Rodgers said. "Obviously, I'd love to be better than I was last week as far as health-wise but there's some factors that are out of my control."

Carson Wentz will start for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 as he returns from his knee injury.

Nick Foles started the first two weeks of the season.

“He’s going to be prepared mentally, now it’s a matter of the physical part taking over," said Doug Pederson. "In my mind, he’s cleared, he’s cleared. No need to hold back."

Josh Gordon will be released or traded by the Cleveland Browns and he hopes to end up with either the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.

The Browns provided no details behind their decision to part ways with Gordon, but a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that he broke the team's "trust" when he reported to the facility Saturday with a hamstring issue after being a full participant in practice all week. 

Gordon will have no says in where he is traded but Gordon is hopeful that it's to a place that can provide the support and understanding what his needs.

Joe Mixon has a small particle in his knee that was dislodged.

The procedure is expected to sideline Mixon two weeks.

Mixon was in and out of the Thursday's game, but managed to total 21 carries for 84 yards on 38 offensive snaps.

Devonta Freeman has been ruled out of the Atlanta Falcons' Week 2 game against the Panthers due to a knee injury.

Freeman suffered the injury in Week 1.

Dan Quinn said it's the same knee Freeman hurt last season.

Atlanta will start Tevin Coleman at running back.

Rex Burkhead is in the concussion protocol.

Burkhead played more snaps (37) than any Patriots running back in Sunday's season-opening win over the Houston Texans, a number that is reflective of his place on the depth chart.

Burkhead's value to the Patriots extends beyond rushing the football (he had a team-high 64 yards on 18 carries in the opener).

Aaron Rodgers told the media he has a sprained knee and that it's been "pretty sore the last three days."

Rodgers was held out of practice on Wednesday.

"I want to play obviously," Rodgers said Wednesday. "Just taking it one day at a time. See how it feels tomorrow and see how it feels Friday, Saturday and hopefully ready to go Sunday."

Greg Olsen has suffered a re-fracture of his right foot in Week 1.

Olsen first broke his foot in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills a year ago. He had surgery for that fracture and missed nine games.

Olsen signed a two-year extension through the 2020 season.
