Peyton Manning will announce his retirement by the end of the week, according to two sources.

Tom Brady Signs Extension With Patriots Through 2019

Mar 1, 2016 12:04 PM

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2019 season.

Brady had two years left on his contract, paying him $9 million in 2016 and $10 million in 2017. Brady's salary-cap charge for 2016 was scheduled to be a team-high $15 million, and the extension will likely lower that number.

Brady turns 39 in August, and the new deal gives him the chance to play into his 40s, something he has expressed an interest in doing.

Joe Flacco, Ravens Working On Restructured Contract

Feb 27, 2016 1:12 PM

Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens are working on a new deal to give the team more flexibility in terms of the cap.

Flacco currently has a cap number of $28.55 million. A new deal could reduce Flacco's cap number by as much as $9 million.

"He knows that he's in it for the long haul and he wants to put the best team we can on the field," John Harbaugh said, via the Baltimore Sun. "He also wants to earn what he's worth, and whatever he signs for, he's going to want to prove that he's worth it, too. That's just how Joe thinks. I'm pretty fired up about it. I'll be really surprised and disappointed if it doesn't get done."
