Could Cardinals Cut Leinart?
Clark Judge of CBS Sports is reporting that Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart is in danger of being cut.
"People in and around the Cardinals' ballclub tell me that the former No. 1 pick might be cut, not because he hasn't completed a high percentage of passes -- because he has -- but because the players there have no faith in the guy and don't believe they can win with him," Judge writes.
Leinart has said publicly that he's outplayed Derek Anderson this preseason in the race to become Arizona's starting quarterback.
Dolphins Go On Diamond Hunt
Several members of the Dolphins crawled across the field after practice on Tuesday looking for the lost diamond earring of defensive end Kendall Langford.
Langford said he forgot to take out his earrings before practice and lost one of them during drills.
He said the diamond was nearly 2.5 carats, which is why he was still on the field an hour after practice scanning the grass.
"I've got a great group of guys out here helping me -- family-type guys," Langford said.
Seattle's Hill OKs Less Pay In 2010
Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill recently agreed to a salary reduction from $6 million to $2.125 million as part of a deal wiping out the remaining years of his previous contract, according to a source.
Hill is already facing a one-game NFL suspension to open the regular season.
Seattle sent a strong message to Hill this offseason by asking him to stay away from team headquarters while a domestic-violence case worked its way through the courts.
In May 2009, Hill had signed a six-year, $36 million contract featuring a $2 million bonus and base salaries of $5 million and $6 million in the first two years.
Buccaneers Release Ward
The Buccaneers have released running back Derrick Ward.
"After practice today we were able to notify Mr. Ward," coach Raheem Morris said.
"It's just like any other profession when it is time for you to depart. It's not a surprise anytime in our profession anytime we tell you to go -- can't say you're surprised. You have every day to go out there and prove yourself."
Tampa Bay signed Ward to a big free-agent deal prior to the 2009 season after he rushed for 1,025 yards with the Giants in 2008.

Antonio Bryant's Career May Be Over
The career of Antonio Bryant could be in jeopardy because of recurring knee problems, according to sources.
Bryant struggled with knee issues last season.
The Bengals released Bryant unexpectedly on Sunday.
"He barely practiced in training camp and now this happens," said a league source.
"The guy can't stay healthy at this point. He gets to the point that he's feeling good, then it swells on him again. When that keeps happening, that's a very strong indication that there are structural problems."
Ryan Still Confident Without Revis
Jets coach Rex Ryan is still confident about his team's chances even without All-Pro cornerback Darrell Revis.
"We can get it done," Ryan said.
"We've proved it all through the years. That's all I know is great defenses. That's what we stand for. It's not about one guy or one or two guys. ... This is what we do. We're a team defense. That's why I know our defense will play great. There's not a question in my mind that we'll play great. We play great team defense."
Monday was Day 30 of the Revis holdout.

Browns Expect Ndamukong Suh Review
Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh grabbed Jake Delhomme's face mask, twisted it, wrapped his arms around the Browns quarterback's head and slammed him to the ground.

Mangini said at his news conference Monday that he will ask the league to investigate the play, but he assumed it would do so anyway.
