Steelers coach Mike Tomlin hinted on Sunday that the team didn't chase Michael Vick hard because of Ben Roethlisberger's legal issues. "Given some of the things that my quarterback was going through, I didn't think it was the appropriate time to add another quarterback to the mix," Tomlin told NBC's Bob Costas. "He's going through somewhat of a trying time with the civil allegation, a case against him. I didn't want to do anything that was less than supportive to Ben."

After cutting ties with Kevin O'Connell, sources claim that the Patriots could target A.J. Feeley. Feeley may become expendable in Philadelphia after the addition of Michael Vick, but sources also claim that the Eagles won't part ways with Feeley until they know how long Vick will be suspended. Sinorice Moss was upset after being used sparingly in the Giants' preseason loss to the Jets on Saturday. Moss didn't make his first appearance in the game until midway through the third quarter when he returned a kickoff. "You have to ask the coach," Moss told the New York Post. "I have no explanation. I really don't know what to say about what happened. When I did step on the field, I went out and did my best." Moss added that it was the most upset he's ever been in New York. An owner of a sports bar has purchased "The Original Whizzinator" at an auction. Matt Little, the owner of Buster's Sports Bar & Grill in Mankato, won the item for $750. The Whizzinator will displayed in his bar's memorabilia section next to jerseys of Adrian Peterson and Justin Morneau. Former Vikings running back Onterrio Smith was famously caught with the device at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in May 2005.
