Feb 25, 2019 5:10 PM

The Baltimore Ravens will release Michael Crabtree.

Crabtree was scheduled to receive a $2.5 million roster bonus next month and earn $7.5 million in 2019 after leading the NFL with eight dropped passes last season.

The Ravens are looking to make over the wide receiver position for new franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Baltimore signed Crabtree to a three-year, $21 million deal last March.

Bears Release Cody Parkey, Will Carry $4.4M Dead Cap Money

Feb 23, 2019 9:47 AM

The Chicago Bears have released kicker Cody Parkey.

Parkey missed a 43-yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles that would have sent the Bears to the Divisional Round.

Parkey also missed three extra point attempts and eight field goal tries in 2018.

The Bears signed Parkey, 27, to a four-year deal that included $9 million in guaranteed money last March. The team will have to carry $4,437,500 worth of dead salary-cap money once Parkey is cut when the new league year begins.

The Houston Texans will release Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas suffered a torn Achilles in December. Thomas was on a non-guaranteed $14 million salary in 2019.

Thomas said he was not thinking about retiring.

"My main priority right now is getting back healthy. I can still play, man. I'm not thinking about retirement. I just don't know where it will be," he told reporters, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans acquired Thomas from the Denver Broncos before the trade deadline.
