Eagles Waive Dorial Green-Beckham

Jun 30, 2017 1:23 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles have waived Dorial Green-Beckham.

The Eagles made the move after signing Dane Evans to a three-year contract.

Philadelphia didn't have a place for Green-Beckham with Alshon Jeffery, Jordan Matthews, Torrey Smith, Bryce Treggs, Nelson Agholor and rookie Mack Hollins, among others on their depth chart at wide receiver.

Green-Beckham was a second round pick in 2015.

Jets Unsuccessful Trying To Trade Eric Decker

Jun 14, 2017 8:46 AM

The New York Jets were unsuccessful trying to trade Eric Decker and will release him.

Teams interested in Decker wanted the Jets to pick up part of his salary.

Decker is signed through the 2018 season. He is scheduled to be paid $7.25 million in base salary in 2017 and $7.5 million in 2018.

Decker underwent hip and shoulder surgeries last fall, but he is healthy and has been practicing.

Ravens Release Dennis Pitta

Jun 8, 2017 8:03 AM

The Baltimore Ravens have released Dennis Pitta, clearing $2.5 million in salary cap space.

Pitta injured his right hip again last week, which could end his career.

Baltimore didn't have to give an injury settlement to Pitta because he signed a waiver after fracturing his hip in 2013 and 2014.

Pitta led all NFL tight ends last season with 86 catches.

Jets To Release David Harris

Jun 6, 2017 2:25 PM

The New York Jets will release David Harris in a surprising move.

The Jets evidently felt Harris, 33, was expendable after reacquiring linebacker Demario Davis last week in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. They acquired Davis in a deal that sent disgruntled safety Calvin Pryor to the Browns.

Harris was due to make a $6.5 million in non-guaranteed salary this season, the final year of a three-year contract.

The Jets are in the middle of a major rebuilding movement.

Chiefs Release Jeremy Maclin

Jun 2, 2017 7:37 PM

The Kansas City Chiefs have released Jeremy Maclin.

“I’d like to thank Jeremy for his effort and dedication the past two seasons,” Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey said. “I have great respect for all players, which makes decisions like these very difficult, but we felt it was in the best interest of our club moving forward to part ways at this time. We wish Jeremy the best as he continues his career.”

“These decisions are never easy, especially with a player like Jeremy who I’ve grown close with on and off the football field over the years,” said Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid. “I have a lot of respect for the way he goes about his business and how he handles himself as a professional. I wish him the best of luck moving forward.”
