Kolb and the Cardinals were unable to come to an agreement on a restructured contract.
Kolb was acquired by the Cardinals in the 2011 offseason.
The Baltimore Ravens will release Bernard Pollard.
Pollard was the Ravens' leading tackler in 2012.
The Ravens have already lost seven members of their Super Bowl team.
The Oakland Raiders released former first round picks Darrius Heyward-Bey and Michael Huff on Tuesday.
Huff started at cornerback in 14 games last season and was expected to return to free safety.
