The move will save the Ravens roughly $1.8 million in salary cap space.
Anderson won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award with Denver and had two years remaining on his deal with Baltimore.

The Washington Redskins severed ties with struggling wide receiver Brandon Lloyd on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
Lloyd had caught only 25 passes in two seasons with the team.
Kansas City Releases WR Eddie Kennison
Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that the club has released veteran WR Eddie Kennison.

49ers Waive LB Derek Smith
The 49ers on Tuesday waived linebacker Derek Smith, according to a Yahoo.com report.
The 6-2, 240-pound Smith started 14 games for the 49ers last season and finished fifth on the team with 98 tackles.

Bears Release Muhammad, Sign Brown
The Chicago Bears have released wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad and reached an agreement on a two-year extension with defensive end Alex Brown, according to ESPN.com.
Muhammad started all but one game for the Bears during his three years with the team.
Brown expressed his displeasure with the team this season, which led many to be surprised by the news of his extension.
Chiefs Begin Offseason, Cut Welbourn
The Kansas City Chiefs have released guard John Welbourn to begin their offseason changes, according to the Associated Press.
Welbourn started every game for Kansas City last season.
Other players who might be cut by the Chiefs include Ty Law, Jason Dunn, Samie Parker, and Kendrell Bell.

The Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Peerless Price on Thursday along with two other players (Kevin Harrison and E.J. Underwood), according to NFL.com.
He caught just seven balls for 49 yards in 2007.
Dolphins Release Thomas After 11 Seasons
After eleven seasons with the team the Miami Dolphins have released linebacker Zach Thomas, according to ESPN.com.
"I have a tremendous appreciation and admiration not only for the Dolphins' organization but for the fans as well, for all of the support that they have given me," Thomas said in a statement on Thursday, during which he thanked owner Wayne Huizenga, Bill Parcells and General Manager Jeff Ireland.
Thomas has accumulated more than 1,500 tackles in his career with the Dolphins.
