Bryce Love Will Remain At Stanford For Senior Season

Jan 16, 2018 12:11 PM

Bryce Love will return to Stanford for his senior season.

Love was the Heisman Trophy runner-up behind Baker Mayfield.

Love was rated as the No. 2 running back potentially in the draft.

The last three Heisman Trophy runner-ups that returned to school the following season all attended Stanford. Quarterback Andrew Luck (2010) and running back Christian McCaffrey (2015) also came back after finishing second in the Heisman balloting. Luck lost the Heisman to Robert Griffin III after finishing behind Cam Newton in 2010, while McCaffrey finished behind Derrick Henry and then fell to ninth in 2016.
