Ty Montgomery is listed as day-to-day with a rib injury and could play in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Montgomery was off to a strong start with 28 yards on five carries in the first six plays from scrimmage before he left in the first quarter with the injury.

The Packers had said Montgomery had suffered broken ribs.

"Really, every injury is different," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Friday. "We're talking about injuries that the specifics of it are different, where exactly it's located, type of equipment and definitely the position that you play. I really don't have a clear answer on exactly what Ty is dealing with and how he can move forward. I know today the conversation with the trainers, as far as his conversation with the trainers, he's preparing to get ready to play in Dallas. That's really what this weekend is for. Tuesday we'll really get our hands around it, and obviously, we'll get you the injury information on Wednesday."

Andrew Luck will return to the field this season if he's healthy, regardless of whether the Indianapolis Colts are out of the playoff picture.

The Colts are 1-2 this season and have appeared to be one of the NFL's worst teams.

Luck could return as soon as Week 6.

"Number 12, he's our man," running back Frank Gore said earlier this week. "He really makes this ship go. With him, it'll be even greater. He loves the game. That's one guy that I think loves football more than me. He loves football and I respect him. My three years here, that's a football player. Tough, smart, true football player."

The Atlanta Falcons are not concerned about Julio Jones' back following his injury in Week 3.

Jones will likely be limited at practice this week.

"He'll likely get a good bit of work as we get through the week," Quinn said.

Jones suffered the injury on the Falcons' last offensive play of Sunday's 30-26 win over the Lions.

Darren Sproles suffered a broken arm and a torn ACL on the same play in Week 3.

Sproles is having surgery on his arm Monday and will require surgery on his knee. Sproles will miss the remainder of the season.

Trainers were originally looking at Sproles' knee, but he was able to walk off under his own power, holding his right arm in obvious pain.

Sproles rushed for 61 yards this season on 15 carries. He also had seven receptions for 73 yards.

Sam Bradford said the knee injury he sustained in Week 1 was not due to contact.

"I felt it when it happened," Bradford said. "I honestly didn't think it was that big of a deal, and then the longer the game went on, it started to feel just a little bit worse and a little worse. Woke up Tuesday, and it just didn't feel very good."

Bradford said he has a clear indication of what the injury diagnosis but wouldn't divulge the nature or severity.

Bradford was inactive for Week 2.

Bradford tore the ACL in his left knee in 2013 and again in 2014. 

Odell Beckham Jr. is questionable to play on Monday against the Detroit Lions as he recovers from a preseason ankle injury.

Beckham was a limited participant all week.

According to Ian Rapoport, the "expectation" is for Beckham to make his season debut.

The Giants' offense has been ineffective over the past few years whenever Beckham has been unavailable.

Sam Bradford has dealt with swelling, pain and discomfort in his left knee following the Minnesota Vikings' Week 1 win on Monday.

Bradford has undergone two MRI repairs in his left knee.

An MRI on Tuesday was negative but the Vikings have guarded optimism about the extent of the issue.

Odell Beckham Jr. practiced for the first time in nearly a month as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Beckham said he was told his injury has a typical recovery timeline of six to eight weeks.

The New York Giants play on Monday night, which will be exactly four weeks since the injury occurred. 

Danny Woodhead will likely miss the next four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Woodhead tore his ACL in Week 2 last season and broke his fibula in 2014.

David Johnson will undergo wrist surgery and is expected to miss the next two to three months.

Johnson suffered a dislocated wrist in Week 1.

Johnson rushed 293 times for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2016 to go with 80 receptions for another 879 yards and four touchdowns.
