Jul 25, 2017 7:44 PM

Kenneth Dixon is out for the entire 2017 season with a torn meniscus.

Dixon decided to have his medial meniscus repaired.

Dixon was set to miss the first four games for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy.

The Baltimore Ravens already agreed to terms with Bobby Rainey to take Dixon’s place in camp. Terrance West and Danny Woodhead are the team’s top running backs.

Teddy Bridgewater Likely To Begin Season On PUP List

Jul 23, 2017 6:18 PM

Teddy Bridgewater will likely begin camp with the Minnesota Vikings on the physically unable to perform list.

“I think so, but again I haven’t seen him,” said Mike Zimmer on whether he will begin the season on the PUP list

Bridgewater suffered a torn left ACL and dislocated knee in a practice last August and missed the entire regular season. He did some throwing to receivers during spring drills but wasn’t cleared to practice.

Bridgewater wore a knee brace during spring drills. Earlier this month, though, he posted online a picture of him throwing without the brace.

Mike Williams May Need Season-Ending Back Surgery

Jul 19, 2017 4:04 PM

Mike Williams might need back surgery on his herniated disk that would rule him out for the entire 2017 season.

Williams was the seventh overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers.

The team still is hoping that Williams will respond positively to the second epidural, but also knows there's a real chance he will not and his rookie year will be over before it begins.

"This may be a lot more serious than people thought," said one source familiar with the injury.

The Chargers remain uncertain about when Williams initially injured his back, but one source said it's possible it was injured at the combine and during his pro day, but he did a good enough job masking it so that teams would not know and his draft stock would not be impacted.
