Rodgers Probable For Game Against Vikings
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is probable for Sunday's game against the Vikings with a sprained foot.
He went through a full practice on Friday after being limited on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Redskins Place Samuel On Injured Reserve
The Washington Redskins announced Saturday that they have placed tackle Chris Samuels on season-ending Injured Reserve.
Samuels sustained a neck injury against the Carolina Panthers on October 11.
A 10-year veteran, Samuels played in five games this season and was inactive for the team's last two contests. The six-time Pro Bowl selection has started and played in 141 regular season games since entering the league in 2000.
Vikings To Be Without Winfield Against Packers
The Vikings will be without cornerback Antoine Winfield when they play the Packers on Sunday.
Winfield was listed as out in Friday's injury report. He missed Minnesota's game against Pittsburgh last week with an injured foot as well.
"It's hard to replace a Pro Bowl corner in our league that does all the things that Antoine does for our defense, but it was great to see [Karl] Paymah, Asher [Allen] and Benny [Sapp] step in and play the way they played," defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier told the Associated Press. "We are going to need it again this week."
Stafford, Johnson Will Be Game-Time Decisions
Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson will be game-time decisions for the Lions heading into Sunday's game against the Rams.
Both the quarterback and his top wide receiver are suffering from right knee injuries.
Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said Friday that both have made "a lot of progress" in recent weeks.
Manningham Suffers Left Shoulder Injury
Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham missed practice on Friday with a left shoulder injury.
He suffered the injury on the final play of practice on Thursday.
"They thought it was better if he just not work today," coach Tom Coughlin said of holding him out on Friday. "So I'm going to list him as questionable, but hopefully he will make it."
Manningham has started six of seven games this season, catching 28 passes for 439 yards and four touchdowns.
Westbrook Misses Another Practice
Eagles running back Brian Westbrook missed another practice on Friday.
He suffered a concussion in Philadelphia's win over Washington on Monday night.
"It's going to be a game-day decision," coach Andy Reid said of Westbrook. "We're waiting to get more tests back and see how they look. So far the tests we have done this week have looked OK. But it comes down to a matter of time."
The Eagles are set to face the Giants in Philadelphia this Sunday.
Bradshaw Will Continue To Play Through Cracked Foot
Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw will continue to play despite a cracked bone in his right foot.
Bradshaw, who has 455 rushing yards, has apparently known of the injury since the spring.
A specialist confirmed the injury on Wednesday.
"I just plan on going out there and giving it my all and if it breaks, it does," Bradshaw said. "I'll get surgery. If not, I'll wait to the end of the season and hopefully at the end I won't need it, but more than likely I plan on having surgery."
Washington's Injury Makes Not Taking Jets' Offer A Bad Gamble
Leon Washington was anticipating his first big payday but rejected the Jets? last offer last summer of a deal worth at least $5 million annually.
Seeking $6 million or more, he said in July, ?For me not to get rewarded, I?m not happy about it.?
Washington suffered a bloody compound fracture of his right tibia and fibula in Sunday's win against Oakland.
Alan Herman, Washington?s former agent, said, ?He lost the value of his contract this year, and sometimes you can never make that up.?
He also lost a signing bonus of as much as $15 million if the deal was for five or six years, Herman said. In the N.F.L., where nonguaranteed contracts are the norm, the bonus is a critical part of what players are paid.
Tatupu Done For Remainder Of Season
Lofa Tatupu is undergoing surgery Thursday afternoon in Alabama and the Seattle linebacker will be out for the remainder of the season.
Tatupu suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Seattle's loss to Arizona. For about a week, there was the hope he might be able to rehabilitate the injury without surgery.
Tatupu traveled to Alabama on Wednesday for a diagnosis with Dr. James Andrews. T
Evans Done For Season
Heath Evans has been placed on injured reserve and replaced on the Saints' 53-man roster by former New England Patriots fullback Kyle Eckel, Coach Sean Payton said Thursday.
Evans suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will be lost for the season. Dr. James Andrews performed surgery Thursday on Evans.
"We're losing a starter who has really played well these first six games,'' Payton said.
