Antonio Brown Posts Lengthy Apology On Instagram

Dec 6, 2019 3:13 PM

Antonio Brown posted a broad apology on Instagram, sparking speculation that an announcement about his status could be forthcoming from the NFL.

Brown met with NFL investigator 22 days ago about sexual assault allegations.

“First and foremost, I’d like to apologize to my family, friends and anyone who I offended,” Brown wrote. “I never once meant to make anyone feel like I wasn’t thankful and appreciative of the opportunity that I was afforded to play the game I love. I’ve worked hard over the years to earn a chance to compete in the greatest game on earth. Over the years I was met with challenges and I can honestly say I didn’t handle those challenges in the manner that I should have. Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to think about everything that’s transpired and I am deeply sorry to all who I’ve offended. While my behavior was inexcusable, sometimes when people are coming at you with false information and allegations, we handle ourselves in ways that we sometimes regret. I do take full responsibility for my actions and I’m working everyday to repair what I broke. I do know that if I’m ever given the opportunity to play the game that I love, I’m going to work extremely hard to show the world how much I appreciate another chance. To the organizations that I offended, I offer my sincere apology to you and my hope is that you forgive me and help me move on from this minor setback. I look forward to competing and helping a team reach their goals.”

Odell Beckham Jr. Vague About His Future With Browns

Dec 5, 2019 4:07 PM

Odell Beckham Jr. was vague when asked about his future with the Cleveland Browns.

“What the does the future hold? I don’t know,” Beckham said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “No one knows what the future holds tomorrow. I couldn’t tell you. My locker is right next to one of the people that mean the most to me in the world [Jarvis Landry]. I think about coming to work and seeing him every single day and how special this could be, so I couldn’t sit here and tell you whether I’m going to be here, want to be here, don’t want to be here. This is exactly where I’m at right now, and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else.”

Beckham has only 57 catches for 805 yards and two touchdowns this season for a disappointing Cleveland team.

Bruce Arians Non-Committal On Jameis Winston As Bucs' QB In 2020

Dec 4, 2019 6:12 PM

Bruce Arians declined to commit to Jameis Winston as the starting quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

Arians cited Winston as a major reason why he came out of retirement for the 2019 season.

Arians was asked if Winston is unequivocally Tampa Bay's quarterback moving forward.

"I'm gonna pass on that one," said Arians, who publicly has been a supporter of Winston through much of the season while acknowledging that his turnovers have been a problem. "I'm gonna wait until the end of December."

Melvin Gordon: 'I Don't Know' Where I'll Be Next Season

Dec 4, 2019 8:58 AM

Melvin Gordon sat out the first quarter of the season in hopes of a new contract that never came from the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers are all but out of the playoff picture and questions are surfacing about where Gordon will play next season.

"I don't know, man," Gordon said. "It's hard to look and say you warrant anything when you're losing. I just have to do my job. No one knows their situation. It's the business side of things. I don't know if I'll be here or somewhere else. Hopefully, it is here."

The Chargers will be officially eliminated from the playoffs with a loss or Pittsburgh victory.

"It kind of sucks because a lot of the goals I wanted to reach, individually and as a team, will not be attained this year," Gordon said. "It's unfortunate. A lot of hard work, in a sense, is wasted."
