A Texas-based company has sued Andrew Luck, claiming its First Amendment right to produce trading cards with his image.
The company said it uses images of Luck from the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl -- a high school All-Star Game played in San Antonio -- to which it has the rights.
Leaf said it brought the suit after Luck's attorney demanded the company stop selling the cards, as they infringed on Luck's "publicity rights."

Report: Arkansas Rehires John L. Smith
A person familiar with the decision says Arkansas is bringing back John L. Smith on an interim basis next year to replace Bobby Petrino.
Smith, who left the Razorbacks after last season to become the coach at Weber State, is returning on a one-year appointment, according to the person who spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because the school had not made its decision public.
Mariucci: Arkansas Hasn't Contacted Me
Steve Mariucci hasn't heard from the University of Arkansas about its coaching vacancy.
The website CoachingSearch.com reported Mariucci's interest in the job earlier Sunday, citing unnamed sources.
"I just had a few phone calls from my son and a few friends asking what's going on, and to be honest, I hadn't heard about it," said Mariucci, who's now an NFL Network analyst. "It comes as a complete surprise to me."
Mariucci, 56, added that he would only take another coaching job if it were "the right situation."
Records Show Petrino, Woman Talked Often
Former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino and Jessica Dorrell exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls over the past seven months, on game days, before dawn and even as the police report that hastened his downfall was being released to the public, according to a review of his business cellphone records by The Associated Press.
Arkansas Fires Coach Petrino
Arkansas fired coach Bobby Petrino on Tuesday, saying he engaged in reckless behavior that included hiring his mistress and then intentionally misleading his bosses about everything from their relationship to her presence at the motorcycle accident that ultimately cost him his job.
"He made the decision to mislead the public, (and it) adversely affected the university and the football program," athletic director Jeff Long said at an evening news conference, choking up at one point as he discussed telling players the news. There was a "pattern of misleading and manipulative behavior to deceive me."
Arkansas Puts Petrino On Leave
Arkansas put football coach Bobby Petrino on paid leave Thursday after he failed to disclose he had been riding with a female employee half his age when his motorcycle skidded off the road over the weekend.
Petrino apologized and said he had been concerned about protecting his family and keeping an "inappropriate relationship from becoming public."
"I will fully cooperate with the university throughout this process and my hope is to repair my relationships with my family, my athletic director, the Razorback Nation and remain the head coach of the Razorbacks," he said in a statement issued by the university.
