Aikman Finally Gets Degree From UCLA

Sep 24, 2014 10:09 PM

Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman has received a sociology degree from UCLA 21 years after starting for the Bruins. Aikman participated in Saturday's graduation ceremony with 450 other graduates. He left college as the No. 1 pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by Dallas. "I'm glad I came back and went through the ceremony," Aikman said. "I had some reservations because I didn't really know any of the other students, but I had a great time and it brought back a lot of great memories of my time here. UCLA is a great place and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Jarmon Will Enter July's Supplemental Draft

Sep 24, 2014 10:09 PM

Kentucky defensive end Jeremy Jarmon will skip his senior season to enter the NFL. Jarmon, who ranks third on UK's all-time sack list, was ruled ineligible by the NCAA for testing positive for a banned substance in March. He is now working out in preparation for the NFL Supplemental Draft, which will be held on July 16. "I just felt like the supplemental draft was the best situation for me," Jarmon said. "I wish it would have come a year from now, but I'm excited about the opportunity. I'm in Nashville working hard trying to get in the best shape I can, because I've got to go into this thing as ready as possible."
