Johnson, Wayne To Work Out With UM WRs

NFL stars Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne plan to work out with University of Miami wide receivers this summer. "That's my way of helping," Wayne said. "This group is way more talented than the group of me, Santana Moss, Andre King and a young Andre Johnson. I like their speed and size."

Notre Dame Wants To Play At Yankee Stadium

Jack Swarbrick, Notre Dame?s athletic director, said the Yankees were open to having college football at the new Stadium, and he would like the Fighting Irish to be the first team to play there. Swarbrick stressed that no dates had been discussed. ?We?ve been in contact with Yankee Stadium and asked and inquired,? Swarbrick said. ?We will be discussing games with them, but we haven?t entered into any substantive discussions.? Notre Dame would most likely play Army in the matchup.

ACC Defensive Player Of The Year Has Cancer

Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich, the Atlantic Coast Conference defensive player of the year, has cancer. Herzlich said Thursday he was diagnosed earlier this week with Ewing's Sarcoma after feeling pain in his leg and will undergo more tests in his home state of Pennsylvania. Ewing's Sarcoma is a malignant tumor often found in bone or soft tissue.

Greg Paulus Picks Syracuse

Greg Paulus, who spurned the opportunity to play both basketball and football at Syracuse coming out of nearby Christian Brothers Academy, will pursue an advanced degree and battle for the starting quarterback spot at Syracuse. "Each place was unique, but in my heart, I just felt that Syracuse was the place for me," Paulus told FOXSports.com. "It's a chance to go home and make a difference." "I'm excited about trying to re-energize the Syracuse program," he added. "It's a pretty neat thing."
