Getting an ?A? in Penn State?s newest communications class means mastering the words of Joe Paterno spoken in front of the microphones, not on the football field, according to an Associated Press report.
Students won?t need to pull on a uniform, but they will try to decipher Paterno?s sometimes cryptic answers at press conferences with the help of a rhetorician. They?ll analyze how the coach tries to use the media and other avenues to promote the program.
Glenn Dorsey: I Didn't Have Surgery
LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, who could be the top overall pick in next month's draft, said on Wednesday that he did not have arthroscopic surgery on his knee last fall, according to the Charlotte Observer.
"There's nothing wrong with my knee," he told the Orlando Sentinel. "It's like people are just throwing stuff out there to try and create a buzz."
Prep QB Terrelle Pryor Headed To Ohio State
Highly regarded prep QB Terrelle Pryor is headed to Ohio State, according to an Associated Press report.
Pryor announced his decision Wednesday at Jeannette High School, where he had one of the greatest prep careers in Pennsylvania history.
Flanked by his parents, brother, sister and other supporters, the 6-foot-6 Pryor wasted no time with his decision: ?If everyone?s here,? he said, ?University of Ohio State.?
He then unzipped his windbreaker to reveal an Ohio State T-shirt and donned an OSU hat.
Pryor picked Ohio State over Michigan, Penn State and Oregon.
BC's Ryan Throws For Pro Scouts
BC quarterback Matt Ryan and dozens of other pro hopefuls worked out for NFL scouts and personnel staff on Tuesday, running sprints and throwing and catching passes at the school?s first-ever Pro Day, as reported by the Associated Press.
Ryan threw 52 passes, completing 48, with three drops and one that was overthrown. He did not do any running, opting instead to let his times stand from last month?s combine in Indianapolis.
