Andy Reid Hasn't Begun Planning As If Tyreek Hill Won't Be On Chiefs

Mar 27, 2019 7:31 AM

Andy Reid has not spoken with Tyreek Hill since learning of an alleged battery and child abuse.

“I have not, no,” Reid said at NFL’s annual owners’ meetings on Tuesday. “Our counsel’s told us not to do that. I have not been in contact with him.

“I really don’t even have a further statement from what we put out. Really nothing’s happened there. There’s no news on that.”

Reid told reporters Tuesday that he hasn’t thought about planning for the season as if Hill’s not going to be there. Hill has been one of the NFL's most productive playmakers.

“I haven’t even gone there,” Reid said. “I’m just letting it take its course.”

"I am truly sorry," Kraft said in a statement on March 23. "I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard."

Tyreek Hill Under Investigation For Allegedly Breaking Son's Arm

Mar 15, 2019 5:24 PM

Tyreek Hill is under investigation for a battery incident in which a juvenile is listed as the victim.

Hill’s fiancee, Crystal Espinal, is listed under “others involved.”

“The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill,” the Chiefs said in a statement to The Star. “We’re in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities. We’ll have no further comment at this time.”

The source said that the incident was against the couple’s son, resulting in a broken arm.

Hill has a history of domestic violence. He reportedly punched and choked Espinal, who was then eight weeks pregnant with their son, on Dec. 11, 2014. He was arrested and dismissed from the Oklahoma State football team. Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in August 2015. He received three years probation. The Chiefs selected Hill in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

David Irving Will Quit NFL, Criticizes League's Hypocrisy On Marijuana

Mar 8, 2019 8:39 AM

David Irving announced on Thursday that he will quit the NFL.

Irving has been suspended by the NFL indefinitely for violating its substance-abuse policy for a third time in as many years.

"Basically, guys, I quit," Irving said. "I don't want to talk about a suspension and all this other nonsense. I'm outta there. I'm not doing this s--- no more."

Irving specified that his problem is with the NFL and not the sport.

"Everyone questions my commitment to football, but let's get it straight, here and now," he said. "I love football ... I wouldn't be here without it. Don't get me wrong, I love football. However, I don't love the NFL. The NFL is not football, you need to understand that. What you all see us do, the game and s---, that's, what, 20 percent of all the real s--- we're doing."

Irving was possibly smoking marijuana during the video.

"It's funny, you know, some people: 'Oh, you're addicted to weed, you're addicted to this and that,'" he said. "I mean s---, if I'm gonna be addicted to something, I'd rather be addicted to marijuana, which is medical -- it's a medicine; I do not consider it a drug -- rather than Xanax bars or the hydros or the seroquel and all that crazy s--- that they feed you.

"Like I said, it's not about smoking weed. How many NBA players you see getting in trouble about this? How many coaches you see getting in trouble about this? How many baseball players? How many UFC players getting in trouble?"
