Will Fuller Suspended Six Games For PED Violation

Nov 30, 2020 8:40 PM

Will Fuller V has been suspended six games for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances.

Fuller said the violation was a result of his taking prescribed medication not permitted under the policy.

"Earlier this year, I sought treatment from a medical professional who prescribed medication that he believed to be permitted under the NFL's drug policy," Fuller wrote on Instagram. "As it turns out, my trust in this professional was misplaced because this medication was NOT a permitted substance under the NFL Policy on Performance Enhancing Substances.

"As a result of this mistake, I have been suspended for six games for taking this prohibited medication. I want to sincerely apologize to the Texans organization and all of my fans for this mistake. I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and returning better than ever in 2021."

NFL Cancels Monday's Practice For Ravens

Nov 30, 2020 10:50 AM

The NFL canceled practice for the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, one day before they're scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Baltimore has officially placed 18 players on the reserve/COVID-19 list in the past week and has since had three starters test positive.

As of Monday morning, the Ravens are still deciding on when to travel to Pittsburgh.

The outbreak in Baltimore already has caused the Week 12 game between the Ravens and Steelers to be postponed twice.

Tua Tagovailoa Still Dolphins Quarterback 'If He's Healthy'

Nov 30, 2020 9:00 AM

The Miami Dolphins have played it safe with Tua Tagovailoa and his injured thumb, but Brian Flores says the rookie remains the team's starting quarterback "if he's healthy."

Ryan Fitzpatrick started in Sunday's 20-3 win over the New York Jets.

"Yeah, if he's healthy, he's the guy," Flores said of Tagovailoa. "I don't know how many different ways we have to continue to say that. You keep asking, I'll keep answering the same way. Again, he's dealing with something with the hand. We'll take it day-to-day. He's a tough kid. He wants to be out there. Thankfully, we have other guys who stepped up. We can talk about Tua, but we had 52 other guys who went out there and played their butts off today in all three phases. We were able to get a division win on the road. We're excited to win. We'll enjoy the win and then turn the page and move on to the next opponent, the Bengals."

Kyle Shanahan Upset Over Suddenness Of County Ban

Nov 30, 2020 10:48 AM

The San Francisco 49ers found out when the rest of the world did that they won't be able to play in Santa Clara County for the next three weeks.

The county held a news conference on Saturday while the 49ers were on a plane headed to face the Los Angeles Rams.

"For us to be heading out here [Saturday] and the relationship we have with them and for our players and coaches and everyone on that plane and our wives to find that out while we're getting on a plane and no one to tell us, it was just extremely disappointing," Kyle Shanahan said of the announcement. "I get it: They made that decision, and we've got to deal with it, but to find that out through a tweet or a press conference, where I have an entire plane coming up to me, I have all wives, everyone's girlfriends, everyone's family members, kids, saying they heard we could be gone for the entire month of December? Are we going to be quarantined for 14 days when we get back?

"That's all we could talk about for the last 18 hours because we got no answers from them. I was just very disappointed."

That curveball left the 49ers spending most of their time in Los Angeles thinking and talking about where they will be for the bulk of December.

Sean McVay: Jared Goff's Turnover Trend 'Can't Continue'

Nov 30, 2020 8:47 AM

Sean McVay didn't mince words after the Los Angeles Rams' 23-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon.

"Our quarterback has got to take better care of the football," McVay said of Jared Goff.

Goff had three turnovers against the 49ers in what has become a growing trend.

"We're not taking good enough care of the football and that's something that's got to change, otherwise I'm going to continue to sit up here and say this week in and week out," McVay said. "It just can't continue to happen."

Goff has had three games with multiple turnovers since Week 8.
