The contract extensions signed by Calvin Johnson in 2012 and Larry Fitzgerald in 2011 remain significantly more lucrative when adjusting for cap inflation than the current market for wide receivers.

Johnson signed a seven-year, $132 million extension in 2012 that has an average per year of $23.8 million when adjusting for inflation. Larry Fitzgerald's extension in 2011 has an inflated APY of $23.76 million.

Antonio Brown's extension in 2017, however, was worth $68 million over four years. The inflated APY is $18 million. DeAndre Hopkins' 2017 extension has an inflated APY of $17.19 million.

Odell Beckham and Julio Jones are attempting to sign extension and it will be interesting to monitor how much they can close the gap again on the high water marks of Johnson and Fitzgerald.
