Jonathan Martin faces five charges stemming from an Instagram post in which he appeared to threaten a shooting at his old high school.

Martin, who was at the center of a bullying scandal while with the Miami Dolphins, faces four counts of making criminal threats and one count of possessing a loaded firearm, according to TMZ Sports.

When he was arrested on Feb. 23, police found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, knife and ax in his car. A second shotgun was also found at his parent's home.

In the hours before his arrest, Martin posted an alarming message to Instagram resulting in the closing of Harvard-Westlake High School for safety reasons.

Martin, 28, posted a photo of a shotgun on a bed with shells scattered around it with the text, "when you're a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge." The words #HarvardWestLake and #MiamiDolphins appeared on the gun's stock and barrel.
