The Denver Broncos are the most likely landing spot for Trent Baalke if he's fired as general manager of the San Francisco 49ers as expected.

Baalke has served as the 49ers’ general manager since January 2011 after one season working in that role as vice president of player personnel following Scot McCloughan’s departure from the organization.

Jed York has yet to make a final decision on Baalke's future.

Baalke was asked about reports suggesting he will be fired before Sunday's game.

“I don’t worry about it. It is what it is,” Baalke said. “I’m going to keep putting my head down and going to work. It’s just something you can’t control. You try and control the things that you can control."
