The Minnesota Vikings have released Blair Walsh after auditioning a handful of other kickers last week.

Walsh missed an extra point in Sunday's loss against Washington, bringing his total up to four misses this season.

Walsh also missed a 27-field goal in last year's playoffs against the Seahawks.

On Monday, as Walsh worked out at the Vikings' facility on his own, head coach Mike Zimmer remained noncommittal about the kicker's future.

"We're going to see what all the options are," he said. "We're going to see what the options are at tackle. We're going to see what the options are at kicker, and then make a determination and go."
