Ryan Fitzpatrick led the New York Jets to a 24-16 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in a game in which Geno Smith started in his place.

Smith started his first game since Dec. 28, 2014, but he twisted his right knee on a second-quarter sack and left the game. He will have an MRI exam on Monday.

Fitzpatrick had struggled to start the season and called out the Jets' brass for not believing in him anymore.

"The biggest thing in this game, in order to last, is to have belief in yourself, because when the owner stops believing in you, the GM stops believing in you, and the coaches stop believing in you, sometimes all you have is yourself," said a defiant Fitzpatrick, who was benched last week.

"That's kind of something I've had to deal with before, something I'm dealing with now."

Fitzpatrick (9-for-14, 120 yards) admitted he played angry.

"I probably play better as an underdog, pissed off, so going forward, yeah, I'll be pissed off," he said.
