Ben Roethlisberger will undergo surgery on Monday morning for a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Doctors expect the procedure on Roethlisberger's knee to be "a clean-up," not a full repair of the meniscus, and that generally favors a quicker recovery, but the team won't know how long he will be sidelined until after the surgery.

Roethlisberger is expected to miss one week at the very least.

Roethlisberger was sidelined with 8:18 left in the first half of Pittsburgh's Week 6 loss to the Dolphins.

Roethlisberger said after the game that he "felt something funny in my knee," prompting a trip to the locker room.
