The Denver Broncos are 2-0 and in sole possession of first place in the AFC West, but some players are upset over struggles on offense.

"We're gonna need more offense, that's for sure," Demaryius Thomas said. "It's hard -- you're always putting it on the defense, and at some point that's tough to count on. There's no reason to keep it close. Last year, a lot of things went our way, but that can catch up to you."

Thomas then gestured to teammate Emmanuel Sanders.

"You've got two guys ... damn, the best duo in the league, and we haven't had 100 yards in a game yet. He's got, what, eight catches? I've got nine. I mean ..."

Through two games, Thomas has nine catches for 138 yards and no touchdowns, far off pace to match his 105 receptions, 1,304 yards and six TDs from 2015.

Sanders, who caught 76 passes for 1,135 yards and six touchdowns last season, has eight catches for 88 yards in two games.
