Chris Ivory was admitted to a Jacksonville hospital Sunday morning with what the team is calling a general medical issue.

The Jaguars later released a statement saying that Ivory was "doing well and is expected to be released from the hospital in the next day or two."

A source told ESPN's Jeff Darlington that Ivory was admitted for precautionary reasons, resulting from an issue unrelated to his calf.

The Jaguars signed Ivory to a five-year, $32 million contract in March.
