The Denver Broncos have reached out to Von Miller ahead of their July 15th deadline to agree upon a long-term contract.

The Broncos' six-year, $114.5 million offer would make Miller the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league, but the offer included only $38.5 million fully guaranteed at signing, with an additional 1.3 million to be earned in workout bonuses.

The sticking point for Miller's camp is the fully guaranteed money, specifically the amount earned at signing over the first three years. The baseline had seemingly been $60 million, but Fletcher Cox's new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles might have raised the floor for Miller's representatives. Cox's six-year, $103 million contract includes $63 million guaranteed, with $55.55 million of that earned in the first nine months of the deal.
