Cory Redding has announced his retirement after 13 years in the NFL.

Redding played in 12 games on the defensive line for the Arizona Cardinals last season and finished the year on injured reserve. He was released by the team in April.

"I'm leaving the game I've played for 23 years. Thanks to the teams I played for, coaches, teammates, fans and my family 4 their support," he announced on Twitter.

Redding, 35, was a third-round pick out of Texas by the Detroit Lions in 2003.
