Gary Kubiak spoke with Johnny Manziel as a potential fit for the Denver Broncos down the line.

Kubiak and Manziel both are former Texas A&M quarterbacks.

The Broncos would want to know the status of Manziel's legal issues and potential NFL discipline before making any more on him.

The Dallas police department referred a domestic violence case against Manziel to a grand jury in late February. 

The Broncos would only sign Manziel with stipulations that would include mandatory counseling and possible clinical work.
