The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to hire Doug Pederson as head coach.

Pederson has been offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs over the past three seasons.

Pederson was previously with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2009 until 2012 with Andy Reid.

As a player, Pederson was Brett Favre's backup with the Green Bay Packers in two separate stints.

The hiring will become official as soon as the Chiefs' season concludes.

"We have concluded our search for a head coach. No further interviews are scheduled," said an Eagles' spokesman.
