Josh Norman has become one of the NFL's best cornerbacks this season for the still undefeated Carolina Panthers.

Norman takes the field pretending to be a different Hollywood action star in every game. Norman's approach is almost like a method actor.

“It comes down to what movie I’m watching that week and the night before,” Norman said.

“For the Tampa Bay game, I was Maximus,” he said, referencing the Roman soldier played by Russell Crowe in “Gladiator,” the 2001 Best Picture winner. “When I do this, my job is to go out there and be that guy. With Maximus, it’s to go out there and win the crowd, win the day. That’s what he did.”

Norman has a penchant for sword-and-sandal epics like "Gladiator" and "300".

After snagging a key interception in Carolina’s 27-22 win in September over the Saints, Norman could be heard repeating the character’s famous maxim: “There are no pacts between lions and men.”
