Adrian Peterson will meet with the NFL this week to discuss reinstatement, per a source informed of the situation.

The meeting is ahead of schedule for Peterson, who was supposed to be eligible for reinstatement on April 15.

Peterson agreed to a plea deal in November of no contest to one count of misdemeanor reckless assault and is still on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Peterson's future with the Minnesota Vikings remains unclear as he appears to prefer a trade.
