The New York Jets were prepared to fly to Seattle to offer Dan Quinn their head coaching job if the Seahawks lost on Saturday.

Quinn can't be offered a job until the Seahawks' postseason run is over. Quinn is the Seahawks' defensive coordinator.

The Jets' interest in Quinn is one of the reasons the team kept their likely new general manager, Houston Texans director of college scouting Mike Maccagnan, in town for a second straight night during his second interview for the job.

Quinn is also drawing interest from the Chicago Bears, among other teams. Quinn is likely to receive multiple offers, though the Jets could have an inside track as he grew up in Morristown a few miles from their practice facility.
