Dan Snyder watched Washington's game at the Arizona Cardinals with Ben Shelly, president of teh Navajo Nation tribal authority.

Snyder has had an ongoing campaign attempting to convince the public that his team's nickname isn't racist.

Shelly is technically still president, but finished seventh in August's primary election.

Shelly entered office under a dark cloud, being charged with fraud, conspiracy and theft in connection with allegations that he had dipped into slush funds to benefit himself and family members.

The Navajo tribal council voted 9-2 in April to formally oppose Washington's nickname.
