The Miami Dolphins have suspended Derrick Shelby indefinitely following his arrest over the weekend.

The Dolphins cited Shelby for "conduct detrimental to the team."

According to a Fort Lauderdale police report, nightclub security said Shelby was touching women without their permission early Saturday. Shelby appeared intoxicated, was ordered to leave several times by an officer and refused -- asking, "What are you going to do?" -- the report said.

When officers tried to place Shelby in custody, he pushed away and took an aggressive fighting stance. He was placed on the ground and continued to resist, and officers used a Taser three times before he was subdued.

A mug shot showed Shelby with a swollen lower lip and a bruise on his cheek.
