Eddie Lacy became one of the NFL's most productive running backs last season when Aaron Rodgers was out due to injury.

Lacy averaged 107 rushing yards per game when Rodgers was out.

With Rodgers back, the Green Bay Packers are using shotgun formations about 10 percent more than 2013.

"I've been (with the quarterback) under center or behind (the quarter)back my whole life, pretty much," Lacy said. "But even though you might not like something, you have to adapt to it. It's your job. How do you say this? It's not that I don't like running from out of shotgun or I don't like running from under center. You have to do what you have to do, and this is just part of what you have to do."

Lacy has gained just 161 yards with one touchdown on 53 rushes over four games this season.

"It's kind of trying to figure out how to find the balance between us," Lacy said. "Last year, we were able to run the ball a lot because A-Rod went down. So we just ran the ball a lot. Having him back, definitely it's not going to be that type of season. We just have to get in the backfield, run the ball when we're called upon and pass protect and let them throw the ball."
