Van Gundy: Magic's Window Open For Title

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy believes that the team's window to win a championship should be open for a few years.

"We should have a pretty good window for four or five years, anyway," Van Gundy said. "I would say we're on the early side of it. I would say among the better teams, we're probably positioned for the long run as well as anybody."

General Manager Otis Smith concurs with Van Gundy, saying, "I think the window is just cracked open for our team."

Magic Looking At Hudson As Third PG

The Magic are looking at Troy Hudson as a possible third point guard heading into the 2008-09 season.

A slot on the roster opened up when Mike Wilks' suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy has said that Hedo Turkoglu and Courtney Lee can help handle the ball.

"Ideally, we'd want to have a third point guard even if you decide to play those guys there at times," he said. "From a practice standpoint, if a guy is down, quite honestly, it gets pretty tough to function the way you want to function.

"You're not just going to take anybody. But ideally we'd like to get a third point; I think we're in agreement on that. It's a matter of can you get what you want."

Eddie Gill could be an option, as well.
