Weaver was selected 38th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Bobcats. In exchange for Weaver, Oklahoma City sent New Jersey’s 2009 2nd round pick to Charlotte. Vince Carter was not surprised by any of the moves that the New Jersey Nets made since the 2007-08 season closed but maintained he still wants to be part of the team's future, the New York Daily News is reporting.
