Monday's Deadline Looms For Westbrook

Philadelphia Inquirer - Eagles president Joe Banner and agent Fletcher Smith, who represents Brian Westbrook, are still having discussions about a long-term contract extension for the running back.

The sides are trying to strike a deal before Monday's deadline that allows teams to count signing bonuses against this year's salary cap.

The Eagles have between $9 million and $10 million of cap space available. [READ]
